Dell Pro and Pro Max laptop repair

In 2025 Dell retired many of its familiar names. Latitude became Dell Pro, Precision mobile workstations became Dell Pro Max, and everyday Inspiron laptops became simply Dell and Dell Plus. The hardware is new, but the faults are familiar, and we repair all of these ranges at component level. Laptop assessment is £45 + VAT, and you get a fixed quote before any work starts.

How the new names work

Each family now has tiers. A plain model is the entry point, Plus adds performance and better screens, and Premium is the thinnest, best-built option. The number is roughly the screen size. So a Dell Pro 14 Plus is a mid-range 14-inch business laptop, and a Dell Pro Max 16 Premium is a slim 16-inch workstation.

Models we repair

  • Dell Pro – Dell Pro 14 and 16, Pro 14 Plus and 16 Plus, Pro 13 Premium and 14 Premium.
  • Dell Pro Max – Pro Max 14 and 16, Pro Max 16 Plus and 18 Plus, and Pro Max 14 Premium and 16 Premium.
  • Dell and Dell Plus – consumer models such as the Dell 14 Plus, Dell 16 Plus and Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1.
  • Earlier ranges – we still repair Latitude, Precision and Inspiron laptops, and older machines are listed on our older Dell models page.

Common faults we fix

  • No power or no charge over USB-C – often a failed USB-C port or power delivery component, which we replace on the board.
  • Cracked or flickering screens – including touch and higher-resolution panels on Plus and Premium models.
  • Worn or swollen batteries – common on laptops left docked on a desk all day.
  • Keyboard and trackpad faults – sticky keys after spills, dead keys and unresponsive touchpads.
  • Overheating and throttling on Pro Max – dust-clogged fans and dried thermal paste on GPU workstations under heavy rendering or CAD loads.
  • Liquid damage – coffee on the keyboard is the classic office accident; quick action improves the outcome.
  • SSD failure – we can replace the drive and, if needed, recover the data with our in-house data recovery service.

Fleet repairs for businesses

Many of these laptops are bought in batches, so the same fault tends to turn up on several machines. We can take in multiple laptops at once, report back on each one with a fixed quote, and prioritise the ones your staff need most. Drives stay in the machine unless you ask us otherwise, and we can work around encrypted disks and company sign-in. Courier collection is available from anywhere in the UK, or you can drop laptops at our Beckenham drop-off centre (by appointment). See our business computer repair page for more.

Out of warranty, or waiting on a call-out?

Dell’s own support is the best route while a laptop is covered. Once it isn’t, or if you can’t wait, an independent board-level repair is usually much cheaper than a replacement machine, and every repair carries our 90-day parts and labour warranty.

FAQs

Is a Dell Pro just a renamed Latitude?

Broadly, it fills the same role, but the designs are new, so parts are not interchangeable with Latitude models.

Can you repair a Dell Pro Max graphics fault?

Yes. We diagnose GPU and power faults at component level, and will tell you honestly if a board-level repair isn’t viable.
