ASUS Zenbook repair

ASUS Zenbooks are slim, light and nearly all built around OLED screens, which makes them great to use and delicate when dropped. We repair Zenbooks in our workshop at component level, so a power fault doesn’t automatically mean a costly new motherboard.

Laptop assessment is £45 + VAT and we’ll give you a fixed quote before any work starts.

Common faults we fix

  • Cracked or flickering OLED screen – including green tints, burnt-in patches and lines after a knock.
  • No power – the laptop is completely dead, or the charging light comes on but nothing else happens.
  • USB-C charging faults – worn ports, or a failed charging chip on the board.
  • Swollen or worn battery – short battery life, or a base and trackpad that no longer sit flat.
  • Liquid damage – thin keyboards let spills straight through to the board. See laptop liquid damage repair.
  • Keyboard and touchpad faults – including the NumberPad touchpad on many models.
  • Windows faults – failed updates, boot loops and BitLocker recovery prompts.

Models we repair

  • Zenbook 14 OLED – the everyday 14-inch model
  • Zenbook S 14 and Zenbook S 16 – the premium ultra-thin models
  • Zenbook Duo – the dual-screen model with a detachable keyboard

Earlier ZenBook Flip, Pro, Deluxe and UX-series models are on our older ASUS models page. We also repair the ASUS Vivobook and ASUS ROG ranges, and everything else on our ASUS page.

The Zenbook Duo

The Zenbook Duo has two full OLED screens joined by a hinge, with a keyboard that sits on the lower screen or detaches and works over Bluetooth. That means more to check when things go wrong. A lower screen that stops responding can be the panel itself, the hinge cable that links the two halves, or a sensor that tells the laptop where the keyboard is. We test each before quoting, so you’re not paying for a screen when the problem is a cable. If the detachable keyboard won’t pair or charge, bring it with the laptop.

Thin chassis, careful repairs

The Zenbook S models use very thin lids and bases, with batteries and screens held in place with adhesive. Opening them without bending the case or tearing a ribbon cable takes patience and the right tools. On these machines the memory and often the storage are soldered to the board, so a board fault can put your files at risk. Board-level repair, or our in-house laptop data recovery, can usually help.

FAQs

Is OLED burn-in repairable?

Burn-in is wear in the panel itself, so the fix is a new screen. Zenbooks include settings that reduce it, which we can point out when you collect.

Can you upgrade the memory on my Zenbook?

On most current Zenbooks memory is soldered and can’t be upgraded. Storage can sometimes be upgraded, depending on the model, and we’ll check yours.

Can I post my laptop?

Yes, our courier and postal service covers the whole of the UK.
