Samsung’s Galaxy Book laptops are thin, light and built around beautiful AMOLED screens – which also makes them delicate when something goes wrong. We repair the current Galaxy Book range at component level, from cracked displays to boards that won’t power on. Laptop assessment is £45 + VAT and you’ll get a fixed quote before any work.

Common faults we fix
- Cracked or black AMOLED screen – the panel is a thin, bonded unit, so a small knock can leave lines, green tints or no picture at all.
- Touch not working on 360 models – the touch layer and digitiser can fail separately from the display.
- Not charging over USB-C – worn ports, damaged cables and failed charging chips on the motherboard.
- Short battery life or a swollen battery – the slim chassis leaves little room, so a bulging pack quickly pushes up the touchpad.
- Keyboard faults – dead keys, failed backlighting and spill damage on the low-travel keyboards.
- Hinge damage on convertibles – Pro 360 and 360 models fold right back, and a stiff or cracked hinge can pull on the screen cable.
- No power – board-level faults, often after liquid damage or a failing power circuit.
About AMOLED screen repairs
An AMOLED panel has no separate backlight, so there’s nothing to swap except the panel itself. On Pro and 360 models the glass, touch layer and display come as a single assembly. We’ll confirm the screen is really at fault before quoting – a damaged display cable or a graphics fault can look identical to a broken panel, and is often cheaper to fix. Screen burn-in from static images is a characteristic of OLED technology rather than damage, but we can advise if it has become distracting. Galaxy Book4 Edge and Arm laptops
The Galaxy Book4 Edge uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor rather than Intel. The hardware repairs – screen, battery, ports, keyboard – are much the same, but software and driver problems can look different on Arm-based Windows. We check both before suggesting a hardware fix.
