Why laptops overheat
Dust builds up in the fan and heatsink and blocks the airflow, the thermal paste between the processor and heatsink dries out, or the fan itself wears and fails. Heat that cannot escape slows the laptop down, causes sudden shutdowns and, in time, damages the graphics chip and motherboard.
What we do
We strip the laptop down, clean the fan and heatsink, renew the thermal paste and replace the fan if it has failed, then test the temperatures under load.
How the repair works
Tell us what is wrong and we reply with a quote, usually the same working day. We diagnose the fault and confirm the cost before starting, and most repairs are completed within one to two days.
